Commissioned Illustration that was used for a blog article on social media.
Worked on a tight deadline (only a weekend and a day or two) where I had to think of a concept and execute the concept through my illustrative style. I was able to do it and while also following and keeping the the tight schedule of the client.

These jobs may be stressful because they are last-minute but I made sure to charge the client a little extra because of the time pressure involved.
This short, quick project showed me what I am like when I work under pressure and anxiety but also that I thrive in it. I enjoy making artwork to blog articles especially ones I can relate to.
Above and Below are sketch and line-work phases to this illustration. I had multiple concepts but I kept coming back to this one as it was feasible to execute in the timeframe allowed. The concept is quite straight forward, a people-pleaser often has their real self behind a 'plastic' self they feel both safe yet frustrated behind. They feel safe that they don't have to show their real self and feel any rejection from it, but feel frustrated that their real identity will never be shown and people will always see to it that they agree to everything others do. Thus, they become someone who can easily be taken advantage over as well.

Thank you for viewing this project!
For this project, I worked together with InMeAustralia who aims to help inspire young girls/women to be leaders and pursue their passion. InMe encourages a community that supports mental health issues that come with young girls and young people, and encourages them to feel vulnerable and gain support form the community.
